Update on the Anti-Corruption Act and S-Dakota’s Reprehensible Lawmakers

In just a few days, Represent.Us raised not just its goal of $12,000, but $18,478 to fight back at the corrupt lawmakers of South Dakota who have mobilized to undo the people’s vote for an anti-corruption law.

In their own words: “Together, we’ve shown that we’re a formidable force – that we will not back down and we will not allow crooked politicians to overturn a people-supported initiative to end corruption. South Dakota is ranked the 4th most corrupt state in the country. They need this Anti-Corruption Act, and it’s up to all of us to make sure the political establishment honors the votes of the people.
“Now, Represent.Us members in South Dakota are planning a rally and delivering thousands of petition signatures on January 10th to put lawmakers on notice and make them think twice about meddling with the voter-approved Anti-Corruption Act.”

This post is an update to last week’s report.
