No honor among thieves. Not even when they blow a whistle on their fellow thieves can you trust their words or intentions. That’s the conclusion we can draw from the latest political bombshell: Donna Brazile’s recent confession of the stolen 2016 primaries that you may have heard things about.
At first I was surprised, then I started thinking; and I suggest you do the same. I see far too many knee-jerk reactions and snap judgments out there related to this piece of news, and those are exactly what makes us subject to manipulation.
I highly recommend you read Donna Brazile’s Politico article yourself. In it the former interim DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile explains the DNC’s collusion with Hillary Clinton’s 2015-2016 campaign for nomination, a campaign that was nothing more than a dog-and-pony show because Hillary was controlling the “Democratic” Party the entire time. How? With money, honey! It’s always the money!
In the Politico article, written to advertise her book, Donna Brazile — yes, the same Donna Brazile who smuggled debate questions to Hillary in 2016 — has done the unexpected by frankly admitting the collusion of the DNC with the Clinton campaign. What’s more, she very lucidly explained what little guys like me were trying to tell the American public back when it was happening: the Hillary Victory Fund’s money laundering to circumvent campaign finance law, something a nation under the rule of law would prosecute.
What’s more, Donna Brazile explains in very clear terms exactly how the Clinton campaign had the “Democratic” Party by the balls through money and debt. Essentially, the campaign bought the financially troubled party for a few million dollars. Donna Brazile also paints herself as emotionally distraught and crying over the DNC’s betrayal of Bernie Sanders (and the American People, mind you, Donna!). Interwoven in this weird confession are the persistent propaganda about Russian hacking and a legitimization of the “Democratic” Party’s ongoing sheepdogging attempts.
All in all, it makes me wonder: is Donna Brazile acting on her own to take over from Hillary as the next presidential candidate, or is she – as she has always done in her career – acting as the mole or straw-woman for a bigger scheme?
In her article, Donna Brazile is framing the rigging of the 2016 “Democratic” Primaries as a Hillary Clinton’s Secret Takeover of the DNC — her words, not mine! You know what this looks like to me? A white-wash of the “Democratic” Party. Oh, the poor party! In its heart it is on our side, the side of hard working and struggling honest Americans. It’s just that it had been bought by the Clintons through no fault of its own. But now that the Clintons are ready to retire, it’ll be safe again to vote for the “Democratic” Party in 2018 and 2020, so that the rest of the corrupt corporate hacks who run that party (same thing happening inside the GOP, as well, of course!) can keep the gravy train flowing, pretending to represent voters as opposed to their wealthy donors. Yeah right!
I got news for you Donna! We’re not going to be so easily duped anymore!
The system is rigged. It has been for a long time. And now that people are finally waking up to this, we have a supposed whistleblower admitting what is already well known and whitewashing it to the best possible effect. Sheesh! Let’s not be duped, friends!
I am sad to say, voter manipulation is what this looks like to me. Cenk Uygur seems to think Donna Brazile is having an honest moment. Am I perhaps getting paranoid? Well, isn’t Donna Brazil painting the “Democratic” Party as an innocent victim rather than a power peddling organization for sale to the highest bidder? You decide.
The point I need to make to people who are only now waking up is this: Donna Brazile isn’t making her organization look bad by admitting what millions of us have known for over a year. People have been leaving the party by the millions over what it did (way more than Donna Brazile has admitted to). The only chance the party has to stop the exodus is to come clean by admitting its wrongdoing and promising it won’t happen again. In the light of this, Donna Brazile’s revelation is long overdue and styled to apologize for the party and generate sympathy for it while placing the entire blame on a few retirees who can afford to take the fall, having already gotten rich by their corruption.
The positive side of the whole thing is that the “Democratic” Party is faltering, or we wouldn’t see such adventurous capers and shenanigans — or “confessions.” And therefore we, the people, can replace this corrupted party with a true people’s party. Some folks still think this is too difficult to do. Reality check: you really think that when one of the two powerful political gangs comes crashing down, the power vacuum will be difficult to fill? Mark my words: it’ll fill in a heartbeat, and we better be ready to fill it with an honest party characterized by a bottom-up internal democracy so – at long last – we, the people, will have our say in it.

Addendum: If you wonder how honest or manipulative Donna Brazile is, consider her Time Magazine article from the 17th of March where she wrote: “In reality, not only was I not playing favorites, the more competitive and heated the primary got, the harder D.N.C. staff worked to be scrupulously fair and beyond reproach. In all the months the Russians monitored the D.N.C.’s email, they found just a handful of inappropriate emails, with no sign of anyone taking action to disadvantage the Sanders campaign.”

Let’s stay civil, OK?
The thing is, Donna Brazile has revealed nothing new. Everybody who pulled their head out (to use your words), has known all of this all along, and millions have been leaving the “Democratic” Party as a consequence, so much so that the party’s survival is in question. Now Donna Brazile comes along, “confesses” to what the party has needed to confess to ever since in order to rebuild trust, and she paints the party as an innocent victim, claiming it was all HRC’s sole fault — which implies that, as soon as she is gone, the party will be just fine. In fact, Brazile dedicated a large section of her article to advertising for people to remain in, return to, and toe the line of the DP, with Bernie’s implied blessing. We are supposed to feel sorry for this oh-so innocent and poor party and help it up from its life-support.
What makes the DP look bad is what it actually did in the 2015-2016 primaries, suppressing millions of voters, stuffing ballot boxes, hacking voting machines, slandering Sanders and avoiding debates, and much more — not Brazile’s admitting to a tiny part of it way late. The way to rebuild the party now, without actually reforming it, is to make it look like it was an innocent victim, and that the only people to blame are those who already took their loot to safety (Obama, the Clintons, …) and will be off to enjoy their retirement, no longer marring the party with their presence.
That’s the MOA these days: blame and demonize individual politicians to cover up that both major parties are rotten to the core. On the GOP’s side, they are trying to turn Trump into the fall guy, and on the DP’s side they may now be moving to have Shillary play that role since her comeback attempt has failed. Sure, both are villains, but by far not the only ones in these parties. In the end, the crooks running both parties, meet at their country clubs, drink, scheme, pat each other on the back, and laugh at us on their way to the bank.
Let’s stop letting ourselves be fooled by their theater.

Heck, I’ve got an overwhelming urge to yell, “Told you so!!” to any Dem I meet. (Then I’ll break into a chorus of “Bernie would have won!”) This is truly a publicity stunt by Donna B. to sell her book and to take heat off the party. Throw the Clintons under the bus–I did wonder when that would happen, but I figured it wouldn’t happen until Bill and/or Hillary were dead and gone. I guess the Dems don’t want to wait.
I still can’t believe a word the Dems say. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice? Shame on YOU, DNC.
