Kentucky Fried Pensions (short video & commentary)

Could it be? A state’s attorney general suing against his colleagues’ corruption? If so, bravo!

(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “Kentucky Screws Teachers-They Fight Back! ” and “Jimmy Dore”)

Naturally, one thing behind the curtain needs to be looked at, too: that promises were made by politicians in the past but the necessary steps to fulfill them not necessarily taken. Instead, they were kicked down the road for future administrations to deal with, eventually resulting in cities going broke while the local robber barons buy up all the public utilities, parking lots, spaces, and buildings… and make out like bandits collecting fees, raising rents, or running tax-free businesses…). The solution is not, of course, to break the promises, but to cleanse government of the corruption which funnels all wealth and an ever greater share of the local and national economies’ income to the top.

Ending Note: It takes me at least 100 hours a month to research and write for this site and work on my book. Please widely share links to these articles or help in other ways, so this work is not for naught. Donations are really great, too! Thanks. Only together can we change this messed-up world. 🙂

P.S.: There was a moving video about a union rally in NY shared live just now. I hope this link will work for a while:

  1. There is hope the unions haven’t all gone away. Look at that crowd’s enthusiasm! And the teachers will not be cowed into submission. They are fighting back. We may yet turn this corrupt world around!
