In reality, the Bolivarian Movement catapulted Venezuela far up economically and socially and is currently faced with a cold war from the U.S., other corrupt foreign governments, an International oil price crisis, and its own large corporations and upper classers, all of whom want socialist measures to fail in order to protect their own capitalism-based privileges. Did the Venezuelan government, Presidents Chavez and Maduro make any mistakes? Everybody makes mistakes. What I would list as Venezuelan mistakes are (A) not being radical enough and (B) being way too lenient on the treacherous and criminally acting elitist opposition and hostile corporations.
