The rich may have all the joys this universe offers. But to improve our human-made world of gives and takes, we better take a look at people’s pain. I wanted to share this video much earlier, but somehow didn’t, probably because I postponed it in order for a Youtube version to show up. (I hate the way Facebook handles videos). Well, a Youtube version has since come into existence, and searching around for a while, I did find it (rarely easy to do when one’s search is based on Facebook-posted videos since they come without titles). Anyway, here it is. Very worth watching:

Nick Braña indicates: Trump = the physical caricature and embodiment of capitalism.

II. Better Voting System

… eliminating the spoiler effect:

By now you may have noticed that our voting system is flawed, giving us “representatives” which represent Big Money instead of us. One commonly proposed improvement is Ranked Choice Voting (A.K.A. Instant Runoff Voting) where low-vote candidates are eliminated one by one in a sequence of comparison rounds, get replaced by the next ranked choice on your ballot, until one emerges as the winner. A similar, simpler, but less well known alternative is Score Voting (where you don’t rank your choices but give each candidate a score and the candidate with the highest average score wins, all in a single vote count round. Some time ago I came across the below speech where an even simpler alternative to our moronic current system is argued for. It’s quite interesting, and in a sense most of us already know it from Facebook. It’s called “Approval Voting”, basically having the candidate with the most likes win (an interesting idea):

But what on Earth does he mean with “top two” such as “approval voting + top two”??? MAYBE THERE IS A BETTER EXPLANATION OUT THERE SOMEWHERE?”

IV. Election Fraud

A word of Reason on Election Fraud : The famous drop in a bucket. There may have been some real Russian meddling in 2016, but did it do anything more than shine a light on how rigged and hackable our election system is? Thom Hartmann explains that 500,000 democratic voters may have been identified by a Russian agent who may have passed the list, along with some money, to the GOP or its allies. But, doesn’t this raise the question, what these domestic election meddlers do with such information? And when you take a look at how rigged our election process is by our money aristocracy led by multinational robber billionaires — starting from the very decision of who is allowed on the ballot, moving through corporate media brainwashing of the public, and terminating in voter suppression, ballot spoilage, and vote count tampering — doesn’t any Russian meddling look like a mere drop in the bucket? It sure does to me. Does it make any sense to assume that some Russians would be the only people interested in affecting our electoral outcomes? That they had the highest interest? That they would be among the biggest players? Or that they have better access than the many goons within our own borders? The primaries alone make your head spin. And sadly, there have been many attempts by citizens to expose and prosecute huge domestic election fraud, but the establishment media have hushed it all up, witnesses have been murdered, and courts have blocked investigations or let evidence destroyers go unpunished. It’s to me as if we were going for a walk in the forest and suddenly shot at by members of the money aristocracy which decided to go hunting human beings for sport. We’d notice that one of those man hunters (only one!) happens to be be Russian, and we go: “Russia, Russia, Russia!!!”

V. Candidates Are Not Enough

The following clip should serve as a reminder that system-challenging candidates are not able to carry through true change alone. It is we, the people, who must become the driving force. Candidates can only represent us, and only as far as we carry them. The more alone they are in their battle, the more they must compromise and go with the flow of the corrupt system so they can stick around and have any chance at all.

Point in case: Bernie did us, the people, an enormous service by putting issues on the table which our fascist oligarchy had long put off the table. Still, he seems to be taking his strategy of reforming the “Democratic” Party back to it’s mid-20th-century people-friendly core principles too far when he plays along with some of the DP myths (such as that Hillary won the primaries fair and square, or the Russia-Russia-meddling hysteria, and his latest adoption of the DP’s Trump-Putin mud slinging). I have come to think he plays along so much in order to prevent another rigging against him in 2020, and that is understandable for someone in his shoes; but I agree with JT that this is definitely going too far. It really crosses the line when a “Libertarian” is made to look good in contrast:

Note: The reason I put Libertarian in quotes is because Libertarians oppose liberty, not promote it. (when you promote the liberty of bullies to bully everyone else taking their liberty away, that’s not promoting liberty)

VI. Media & Tribalism

My tribe can do no wrong. The other tribe can do no right. That ancient instinct with which we are all born makes us very vulnerable to manipulation from a corrupt top. We need to grow mentally and learn to override such dumb instincts with the intelligent thinking ability with which most of us were also born. And, no. This establishment TV pundit is no idiot. He is a hack. He manipulates people who allow themselves to be idiots. Don’t do that! Grow up! Transcend idiotic instincts! Become a thoughtful American, the kind we can all be proud of and rely on in the struggle for a world worth living in:

One caveat: our “home” does not only supply us with the sustenance we need, but also with the disease and death we would rather not involuntarily suffer. This is is where our own, human, actions come in… which are undermined and prevented by a corrupt econo-political system that pits us against each other fighting over profits, justice, and scraps.
