Corporate plutocracy and citizens uniting against it. Corporations are economic entities, not people.
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for Ralph Nader Radio Hour and the title: “Corporations Are Not People, My Friend”)
Nader Quote: How can we have people raise their expectation level form the kind of country they want to bequeath to their children and grandchildren and also have that fire in the belly, the sense of urgency the way the tea party people and [other] right wingers have. How can you make your message more than cerebral? How can you have what I call irresistable rhetoric backed by irrefutable evidence?
Check out American Promise: americanpromise.net (not to confuse with americanpromise.org with is a movie promotion site)
Conclusion: Even though we, the people, disagree on many things, we can accomplish a lot when we unite around priorities we agree on.
II. Human Rights
Having a safe place to sleep, a safe place to return to from a hard day, a base of operations, a den, a nest, a shelter from the elements, a “home” as we call it, is a basic human need like air, water, and food — and turning it into a profit-making commodity for the rich at the gruesome expense for many people is nothing short of a crime:
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for Redacted Tonight, Lee Camp and the title: “ Human Right To Housing (w/ Yasmina Mrabet) “)
Note: Rather than giving huge swaths of public lands for free to developers who build excessively rental homes on the land they now own having it acquired for nothing, we should organize social home building: affordable homes for the many who lack proper housing. I once lived in a great student dormitory that had been built by a student organization because the university town lacked housing. So, why not give public lands to organizations like that instead of market profiteers? … Oh, yes… of course… the kickbacks the corrupticians in office receive.
III. Economic Crash
The next economic crash is coming (you have here heard expert economists like Richard Wolff predicting it) and how this links to democracy:
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for Kyle Kulinski and the title: “10 Years After The Great Recession Another One Is On The Way”)
Zach Carter Quote: “When people don’t feel included in the most basic or in the most important decisions affecting their basic livelihood they lose faith in democracy itself.”
IV. War for Corporate Profit
Meet the MIC:
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for TheRealNews, Medea Benjamin, and the title: “Merchants of Death: How the Military-Industrial Complex Profits from Endless War”)
Note: You may have seen a viral video where Medea screams like a maniac in a situation where (like the rest of us) she is marginalized by the evil establishment and can only make herself heard by raising her voice and breaking on stage where she is not invited. Here is that video enhanced with an interview where she is allowed to comment her actions in the civil manner otherwise reserved almost exclusively for the evil ‘elites’ (except for independent media).
V. Environmental Destruction
Capitalism (factory farming and the corporate state, including its bribed corrupticians and corporate media) destroying the living world we need to live:
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for Jimmy Dore and the title: “Rick Scott Booed Out Of Restaurant Over Red-Tide”)
Great Tim Canova quote: ”… they attack folks like me who want Medicare for All [saying] that that’s socialism. Medicare for all is taking from the many and giving to the many. These agricultural subsidies – these Big Sugar subsidies – are taking from the many, giving to the few, and they are the few who are contaminating our waterways.”
VI. Racism & Ethnic Stereotypes
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for Jesse Ventura, Brigida Santos, and the title: “Asian American Representation & Cathy Schlund-Vials”)
Another Example of Capitalism Cruelty
Laying off workers throughout every winter, leaving them not only without a job but without healthcare every year in order to maximize the profits of the owner class:
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for Jimmy Dore and the title: “Chicago Hotel Workers Unite & Strike For Basic Needs”)
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “Noam Chomsky – The Future of Capitalism”)
Comment: What truly baffles me (and I was unaware of till now) is that an otherwise so exceptionally knowledgeable and sharp system analyst and critic endorsed Hillary after her rigged nomination, when the only way for us to survive and improve is to overcome BOTH corporatist parties (especially clear after Chomsky explains how destructive the corporate state is).
VIII. Mind Control
Don’t let others limit and control your thinking (esp. with that two-party argument, A.K.A. the “good cop/bad cop” routine of the twin-party tyranny or similar false flag black-and-white pictures like Soviet-style-(alleged)-socialism versus long-past-and-over-but-pretty-good-back-then-New-Deal-style-American-capitalism — neither one of whivh exist anymore, nor are they the only arrangements possible):
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for RT America, Lori Harfenist, and the title: “Chuck Todd blames conservative echo chamber for distrust in media”)
IX. Media War
Something not to miss: a conversation between Phil Donahue and Ralph Nader. Much to learn, esp. about the media war on the people.
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the Ralph Nader Radio Hour and the title: “Phil Donahue”)
X. Rightwing BS for Profit
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for The Humanist Report, Mike Figueredo, and the title: “Blaire White Alleges Some Right-Wing YouTubers are Complete Phonies”)
XI. Twin-Party Tyranny
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for MPP, Nick Brana, and the title: “MPP-TV Episode Nine With Antiwar Activist Cindy Sheehan”)
Quote: “The Democrats are just the other half of the war party.” (A.K.A. corporate party, A.K.A. billionaire’s party, A.K.A. ruling class party, A.K.A. owner class party, A.K.A. establishment party, A.K.A. oligarchy party, A.K.A. money aristocracy party, A.K.A. screw everybody on behalf of the dungheap society’s top percent party…)
We must push policies (after having become clear about our priorities) rather than this or the other major party based on which of them seems to be the lesser evil or appeals to longstanding voter or member loyalties both parties have long betrayed.
Some of the privileged and brainwashed seem to slowly be opening up to the reality of our world (what’s wrong (the rigged system, not just the T-Rex President) and how to fix it (societally responsible policies, generally called or describable as socialism (even though it has been smeared and turned upside down in its meaning a lot, so beware old labels like this as they can mean their exact opposite depending on whose mouth they issue from)):
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for The Humanist Report, Mike Figueredo, and the title: “Bill Maher Tells Democrats to STOP Running Away from Socialism”)
Old video with an interesting debate between someone who gets the concept of a socially responsible economy that serves those who make it work and – on the other side – a mind warping, head spinning libertarian who lives a privileged wife and has zero compassion for the people below to whom she turns a blind eye:
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for
RT America, Michael Prysner (an amazing war veteran), and the title: “Socialism in America”)
XIV. Election Rigging
Another glimpse of the Jim Crow Machine:
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for Thom Hartmann and the title: “Three Quarters of a Million Voters Purged by Brian Kemp (w/ Greg Palast)”)
Note: Not to forget, the “Democratic” Party does voter purges, too. Both establishment parties, despite their mild competition with each other over perks, work to prop up the establishment and its horribly rigged system.
Ending Note: To get the word out despite of Social Media blocking, please widely share links to these posts. You can also help in other ways (including much needed financial support if you can afford it). And don’t forget to sign up for notifications (you may never again hear of a post here on Social Media as the blocking ratchets up)! Together can we change this messed-up world.
