Stars: Ralph Nader, Jamie Raskin, Richard Winger, April Boden, Chris Hedges, Glen Ford, Glenn Greenwald, Jimmy Dore, Suzie Dawson, Jill Stein, Thom Hartmann, Nancy MacLean (Author of Democracy in Chains), and Anand Giridharadas .
Lots of fundamental stuff: The billionaire class and its world-destructive creed, the millionaire class supporting them, election rigging, sneaky fascism, “starve the beast” getting close to the end-game, the need for a paradigm shift, weak-kneed charity by the rich while continuing to do harm, the need for thid-party power…
I. Fake Left, Careerist Supporters of the 1%, etc.
(Note: If the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for Chris Hedges, Gary Null , and the title: “2018 Interview With Chris Hedges & Gary Null”)
Chris Hedges: “People are fed the idea that if they don’t have [wealth] they failed. There is no examination of a system that was so gamed against them from the beginning that they never had a chance.”
II. Ballot Access
(Note: If the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for Ralph Nader, Jamie Raskin, Richard Winger, and the title: “All About Elections”)
- 1st part: … Raskin interview. Topics: Republican misdeeds, corporate socialism…
- 2nd part (23:40): ballot access – the corrupt barriers against independent and third party candidates (luckily some are crumbling!) – Ballot Access News
- 3rd part (51:30): flooding not only of the Supreme Court but also the District & Circuit Courts with corporate stooges
- 3rd part (51:58): when the market rules, consumers and workers are pitted against each other (sadly, we are one and the same) … destroying the myths of market fundamentalism
- 3rd part (58:10): innovative healthcare system (mostly when it comes to exploitation)
- 3rd part (1:04:16): voter suppression (5 law suits in Gorgia right now, silly justifications for voter suppression)
III. Need for a Paradigm Shift (Edu, Cogs, & Communities)
Another bit of evidence why our society needs a see-change, a paradigm shift (away from profit-for-a-few-and-to-hell-with-everything-and-everyone-else to a good-life-for-all):
(Note: If the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for April Boden on TrutherTalk and the title: “Asians and the Harvard Affirmative Action LawSuit #harvardlawsuit #affirmativeaction”)
Comment: April is one of those many, many people with deep insights in parts of the picture but confused about the big picture. She deeply understands discriminated portions of our society, even briefly toys with the idea of a new party for the people, but ultimately skips over this realistic strategy to just fall back into the false choice between Reps and “Dems” and, because of her justified disappointment with the corrupted “Democratic” Party, then supports the R-party which is actually even worse than the D-party. More of us, the people, need to learn to think things through all the way.
IV. Sneaky Fascism
The sly shift from primitive racist fascism to fake-liberal corporate fascism:

V. Brazil’s Lesson: How Horrible Fascists Get Elected
Gut reactions, snap actions go for the enemy of my enemy is my friend. So if Satan himself pretends to be anti-establishment, large numbers of poorly thinking people will vote for them:
(Note: If the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “Lessons from Bolsonaro’s Victory – Glenn Greenwald”)
Comment: So… will we soon see mass murders in Brazil committed by the new government, just like in Nazi Germany, Mussolini’s Italy, Franco’s Spain, Kissinger’s (uhm… I mean Pinochet’s) Chile…?
VI. Destructive Privatization & Wealth Hoarding
(Note: If the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for Thom Hartmann and the title: “Why An Unequal Society is Good For The Rich & Bad for the Poor”)
VII. Why Culture Wars & Identity Politics
What Hartmann leaves out is that the “Democratic” Party plays exactly rhe same game, from the other side, in a dog-and-pony-show tug of war with the GOP on issues which mean nothing to the oligarchy:

VIII. The Evil Scheme of the Dark Money Wielders
Sometimes I dig up pearls from the past. This conversation form 2017 grabbed me most around 11 minutes in for some really enlightening words (before that point its mostly history, important history, though):
(Note: If the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for Thom Hartmann, Nancy MacLean (Author of “Democracy in Chains”), and the title: “What is the Actual Hidden Agenda of the Radical Right? (w/Guest Nancy MacLean)”)
Great quote (slightly edited): Those who are doing well are by and large people like the Kochs. They say they’re doing well because they’re good entrepreneurs and they understand their market. So they deserve what they’re getting, and – conversely – those who fall by the wayside must have done something to deserve that. It’s a very cruel and very unforgiving set of ideas, avidly being promoted by people who share Buchanan’s views…
Comment: Yes, these psychopaths at the top always remind me of gamers playing a game, especially gankers in online games like World of Warcraft. The idea: life is only a game. So what if others loose. It’s only a game and harming others game participants is fun… Well, I and others who have been ravaged didn’t join this “game” of life voluntarily. We were born into this unbearable mess.
Note: “Favellas” = slums in Brazilian Portuguese
If the “majority” of the wealthy are indeed concerned about the common good, why the heck don’t they finance outlets like Beanstock’s World or projects like World Progress Inc.?
It’s really amazing how selfishness can turn human thinking on its head, particularly when parasitic rich people view themselves as the makers and the poor who need help via public programs as takers. After all, it is rich people like Jeff Bezos who are the takers who take from the successful, namely those who are successful at producing products or services, which is to say: working people, including the working poor such as are working in underpaid employment by billionaire parasites like him!
The 2nd part of this interview describes the divide and conquer the states strategy of Kochistan… pardon me… the robber billionaires riding and raiding the United States:

Final comment: While this conversation very well describes the cruel destruction of the common good and undermining of American democracy originally having its political base of operations in the Republican Party, the one thing left out is that the “Democratic” Party has since also been roped in by this camp of billionaire sociopaths.
More detail on the sneaky – noticed by few – right wing billionaire war on the people:

Nancy MacLean describes our situation really well here:

Interestingly, I couldn’t find the documentary she mentions on Youtube, only its trailer. An accident?
(Note: If the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “STARVING THE BEAST Trailer “)
Short summary of the “starve the beast” plan (the “beast” being the people’s joint power tool, a democratic government, hated by the privileged rich who want to be unfettered demon lords able to rape and ravage us without any government protections and safeguards in place — the only missing part is that the “Democrats” have joined the corrupted parties leaving us, the people, with no major party fighting for us (did Obama fight this “starve the beast” plan or did he bail out the banksters for free?):

IX. Top 10 Wikileaks Achievements

X. Jill Stein with Jimmy Dore
(Note: If the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for Jimmy Dore and the title: “How To Eliminate The “Spoiler” Vote Phenomenon w/Jill Stein pt. 1”)
Jill Stein: “I try to tell people that if the Democratic Party ran on a platform of ending the wars a free college a living wage and Medicare for all they would sweep back into power. Yet they just won’t do it. … They’re all for it until they have the power to make it happen. … It’s a game of fake left and move right. So, fool me once, shame on you. Fool me a thousand times, shame on me.”
Jimmy: “This is exactly what everybody thinks will bring utopia to the United States: if we have a blue wave, when we have blue blue blue. We have that in California, and guess what we don’t have? We still don’t have single-payer health care. We still don’t have free college. We still don’t have a ban on fracking. … So, my point is we need leverage against the Democratic Party, and one of the big reasons I voted green in the 2016 election was because the Greens don’t need to get to a point where they can win a national election – even though that would be great – but what they need to be is in a position (or some third party needs to be in a position) where the Democratic Party can no longer flip off the progressives in the country … which is exactly what happened. In 2016 all the energy was with the progressive Bernie Sanders, and then as soon as he capitulated and endorsed Hillary Clinton she then moved to the right.”
Jimmy: “Do you agree with my assessment that it doesn’t matter if a third party (being the Greens in this case) actually can win the election? Their point is to influence the election and pull the Democratic Party back to the left.”
Jill Stein: “Let’s just call it a win-win. It’s a win if we lose, and it’s a win if we win. … We win simply by being heard. We win by standing up. And the whole concept that our votes – the votes of progressives – belong to Democrats and we’re taking them away from [the likes of] Hillary Clinton [is absurd]. Candidates don’t own our votes. They have to earn our votes. And the very concept that they own them is extremely dangerous to democracy. That’s why you see the Democrats doing the outrageous things that they’re doing that do not represent everyday people.”
Jill Stein: “When you see Trump now withdrawing from our nuclear weapons treaties, we have the Democrats to thank for this as well. Who was it that restarted the nuclear arms race? It was Barack Obama who initiated this 1.5 trillion dollars being spent now on nuclear weapons. Instead of creating a new generation of nuclear weapons we should be using that money to create a new generation of young Americans who are free from student debt!”
… and so much more good stuff in this conversation. So much more good stuff! 😉
Comment: Indeed, why do we bail out the criminal private banks which crashed the world economy and cost millions of Americans their homes, jobs, careers, and retirement, instead of bailing out the young generation which is drowning in student debt learning the survival skills we elders got to learn for free… and on whose assistance we depend in our old age? Why? Because of the two corrupt, corporatist major parties who work for a small cabal of ultra-rich robber billionaires and throw America and its people (and the whole human world,at that) under the bus. That’s why. So, what do we need to do? Throw those corrupt major parties under the bus instead, with third parties. Repeat after me: Republicans and “Democrats” bad. Third parties and independents good. Prescription: Never vote R or D again! (except in cases where a people’s candidate can only run on one of their tickets; but take even such a win with grains of salt, because the corrupt major parties will almost certainly manage to call them to heel after they win a public office seat)
And the great conversation continues:

Note: Rudolfo Cortes Barragan running for Congress in California’s 40th Congressional District sounds like a great candidate, btw. (just like Kenneth Mejia of California’s 34th Congressional District)
