1. Movement for a People’s Party (MPP)

A must-share video from a year ago: Chris Hedges talking to Nick Braña on the dawn of an American People’s Party. Despite being 26 minutes short and my many prior posts on MPP, this clip sports some facts and thoughts you probably haven’t heard before. Reasons for hope:

6. Our Real Problem (Culture/Mentality)

I like this video a lot, except or a brief moment when – as so often – the impression is given that only millennials are having their lives ruined by our flawed system, a thorn in my side because I have already ‘lived’ this non-life existence. We older ones having been screwed like this are called the precariat and ignored by the entire rest of society as if we don’t exist. And, yet, there is much to learn from our experience, and we should be allowed to come out of the blind spot and ally with the millennials for whom some – like me – are fighting, knowing that we ourselves will hardly benefit from this fight, since our lives are already ruined and largely over.

7. Economy: Fake Booming Economy & Working Class History, Present, & Future

Fake Booming Economy

Note: So… interestingly, NewsBroke which was abolished a year ago and sometimes falls a little short of deep insights but is noticeably ahead of the curve and manages to mix its revelations with humor… is back. The comeback seems to have been a gradual development starting some 4 months ago on AJ+ but announced (with too little information) only a few weeks ago: (1) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFbfu-tKd7g | (2) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8xIYe-jeQ4

10. The “Liberal” Mind Prison

Destiny and the Liberal Mind Prison
Thought Slime

Great quote: Individual freedoms, equality under the law, and capitalism cannot coexist.

Good continuation: Capitalism by its very nature creates inequality and undermines individual liberty. You cannot have equality under the law when some people can afford to mount expensive lawsuits, keep defense lawyers on retainer, or lobby policymakers to tailor the law to suit their interests.

Comment: All very true and to the point. Spot on. Now, in theory a highly restrained capitalism could coexist, say if the law would let nobody be more than twice as rich as the median wealth and nobody too poor for meeting basic needs. This is where the idea comes in to draw a line between reasonable and unreasonable (excessive) wealth and income and install a No Rich and No Poor society resulting in universal prosperity, or may I say universal affluence(!), based on a shared goal of a Good Life for All. It’s drawing the line between justified private property and hoarded excessive property taken away from others. Even small property can act as capital, but we won’t have a greed-driven capitalist system governing us beneath the brutal yoke of a profit-over-people principle historically known as capitalism if capital differences between people are kept small. We current;y live in a kind of Monopoly board game. It is designed to have EVERYONE lose the game (usually the moment they are born) for the benefit of a tiny number of winners. Change the board game rules to no one being allowed to own more than twice the number of buildings and streets than the median (a mathematically more accurate option than average) of the players and no player is left with less than one street and house, and the game will go on forever with no losers ever. That’s the set of rules that would turn our Hell on Earth into a Heave on Earth.

Think about it. If nobody could be richer than twice the mid level of all people, then nobody could hire thousands of people to rig the system for them. Nobody could finance political campaigns to run circles around the majority of people.

12. How We Lie to Ourselves (Psychological Insight)

A little psychological look into ourselves might, I hope, make it possible to shake loose false narratives that have been inserted in us to control us from the outside by simply connecting to a lack of truthfulness inside.

13. Egalitarian Movement for Democracy
