1. Healthy & Happier Together from Less Inequality/Inequity

The second half of this episode is pretty neat and the main issue; and the video share is set by me to start there. The first half I don’t consider very worthwhile because of lacking insight depth on some issues (especially the persistent myth of a teacher shortage although the first 3-5 minutes reporting on climate change are actually pretty good, too — something you may like to click back to and watch, too):

Decent Pay Pays Off ~ Jesse Ventura talking with Dan Price (World according to Jesse | Feb 20, 2021)

A potential (fairly short) article to read on wealth and income redistribution for a healthier society The article addresses societal injustice repair quite insightfully, except for focusing too much on unfamiliar vocabulary (and easily causing confusion by this) rather than concrete solutions: Inequality, Equality, and Equity

2. The Oligarchy Dividing Us with the Guns

The Establishment Wants Us Divided, Distracted, Afraid. ~ The Jimmy Dore Show (Feb 16, 2021)

3. Monopolistic and Radicalizing Social Media Given a Blank Check

Big Tech Monopolies – Controlling Speech!? with Matt Stoller ~ The Jimmy Dore Show (Feb 18, 2021)

Note: Roughly the last 45% of this conversation is a discussion about free speech and justice on the Internet getting us bit deeper into it than most of us currently are (pointing out situations where Internet corporations can completely avoid proper behavior and not be forced at it by court verdicts either, neither to block fraudulent and other criminal communications nor to desist from arbitrary/biased censorship), but unfortunately pretty much leaving out the other end on this problem range, namely how to protect decent people and companies from being framed and criminalized for no good reason (or even to divert potential punishments from criminally acting big corporations to small businesses and individuals, like it is currently happening in the European Union with it GDPR law and other creepy media laws).

4. Independent Media Getting Censored Away (e.g. on COVID Origin)

VIDEO REMOVED: Russia, China and Iran Claim Covid Came From US Lab ~ Kim Iversen (Feb 16, 2021)

5. Free Speech on the Internet at Risk

The former information superhighway (Internet of the nineties and still a little of the first 21st century decade) has been taken over by sociopathic giant corporations and also increased censoring and surveillance by despotic governments (plus organized crime, too), and new law-changing outlooks in politics tend to aim at making it even worse. Here is a considerably more insightful discussion I tend to come across (at least where U.S. laws are concerned):

How To Make The Internet Free Again (w/ Ron Placone) ~ Redacted Tonight (Feb 18, 2021)

Note: A hint given at digital rights groups such as the Center for Media Justice, Fight for the Future, Free Press, Demand Progress.

6. Republican Voters Abandoned Like the Democrat Voters

Both major parties have been serving exclusively the rich oligarchy for the last 4 decades. Working people loyal to one or the other party were abandoned by these party ‘elites’. Regular visitors to Beanstock’s World likely know how this has been going on for customary D Party loyalists, with millions leaving this corrupted party, and a good number of them working to build up a true People’s Party. This video addresses the likewise abandonment of working class R Party loyalists, some of whom a floating now among independents with no perceived door to find, while others may slip deeper into fascism, ready to be grabbed up by fascist demagogues and their ‘movements’.

10 years of listening to the right wing – Arlie Hochschild on Economic Update ~ Democracy At Work (Feb 16, 2021)

7. Tenant Protection in the German Capital

… and an attempt to help immigrants (with a city regulation somewhat resembling our “Affirmative Action” Civil Rights Act of 1964):

Left policy examples from Berlin. Listen up, Mr. Biden – Richard Wolff ~ Democracy At Work (Feb 16, 2021)

Note: If only Richard Wolff would stop calling the German SPD Party a socialist party. It was a social democratic party established in 1863 (this being +- socialist with rejection of revolution, desiring gradual reforms instead), but in the 1970‘s began shifting over into neoliberalism like our “Democratic” Party did). It’s today’s German equivalent of our D Party. (which is why it has drastically shrunk and also suffered a split-off that ultimately created the “Linke” (Left) Party.

8. Capitalism-Narcissism Link

Capitalism creates narcissism – Dr. Fraad & Julianna Forlano ~ Democracy At Work (Feb 18, 2021)

9. Mindset: Flipping Back and Forth Between Social Responsibility & Neoliberalism

Not a super-good episode, but pointing at a mindset-vulnerability to be aware of:

AskProfWolff: The Tasks of Socialist/Labor Parties Today ~ Democracy At Work (Feb 19, 2021)

10. Increases of Wage vs Prices

AskProfWolff: Why Rising Wages Do Not Necessarily Mean Price Increases ~ Democracy At Work (Feb 20, 2021)

Note: One thing left out is that if wages of enough people increase then there can be more economic demand (because a significant amount of people can now afford more spending of money) which in turn can lead to company profits being increased not necessarily by price increases but merely by being able to sell more. In essence, this is an economic growth brought about by more money at the bottom (more money that reflects and matches more products and can thereby result in no inflation whatsoever but an increased shared prosperity). Places that established or increased minimum wages commonly saw this happen. The same can be expected from income increases not tied to paid employment, such as universal basic income or universal basic dividend.

11. Why So Little Progressive Radio

Media-buying big corporations playing in politics with daily brainwashs (plus venture capitalists destroying other radio channels). And not just official right-wing white-supremecist radio stations, but also countless Hispanic and (Anti-)“Christian” ones.

Ever wondered how rural parts of our country turned right-wing?

Why So Little Progressive Radio? ~ Ralph Nader Radio Hour (Feb 20, 2021)

12. Leftist Comparing to Fascists, Neoliberals, and “Liberals”

Interesting comparison. And, yes, systemic analysis and change (supported by mindset change) are the things that must happen to make our world better. It is high time for all people to stop wasting their focus on individual wrongdoers.

Why the Left is Always Right: Systemic Analysis ~ NonCompete (Feb 21, 2021)

Note: And, yes, it is always encouraging that American Johnson did start out as a Libertarian/Republican or so.

13. World: Biden’s Doublespeak About Ending Yemen War

Does Biden really want to end the terror on Yemen, or does he merely want to sound good? You listen to this interpretation and decide yourself:

Biden’s Doublespeak About Ending Yemen War ~ Empire Files (Feb 12, 2021)

14. American Style Policing: Bogus Arrests and Reinforcing Inequality

Excessive and often irresponsible activity (plus mafia-like racketeering not addressed in this report). And do we simply have too many police officers, looking for stuff to do at our expense?
