1. People’s Podcast: Does Everyone Deserve Healthcare? ***

Hell, yes! They do! End of story! (quote from this podcast 1:06:59) Continuation: “Should anyone suffer? No! Should anyone have to file medical bankruptcy? No! Should anyone be denied their insulin? No! These things are just like George Carlin said: Common sense is not so common. So perhaps that’s the problem. But it’s really unfathomable to me that anyone could be against this. And to me it shows a complete lack of empathy.” And an instant comment by another participant: “I don’t care who [which politician] it is, who’s in office. If you’re not crying, and if you’re not fighting tooth and nail for the American citizens to have health care right now, even before the pandemic, you don’t have any empathy. You just don’t. You’re not human.”

2. Inequality – Our Money Aristocracy and Medieval Life **

Remember how feudalism split our ancestors into rich ruling aristocrats (“nobles”) and enslaved serfs? Any noticeably difference today? Not to me. We have a money aristocracy that equally terrorizes us. Nice presentation by Graham Elwood and George Carlin (may he rest in peace!). (only thing I don’t care about is the bitcoin cryptocurrency mentioning at the end since I see it as a risky pyramid scheme, which basically our current corrupt system is too)

CNN Celebrates Billionaires While Hiding Poverty ~ Graham Elwood (Jul 10, 2021)

3. Right Wing Culture (made to keep us all confused and abused) *

Fairly interesting video on the manipulated mentality of right-wing men (unfortunately leaving out right-wing women that also exist – in similar numbers – after all). Sadly, it is also rather lengthy and possibly tiring to hear so much talk. You can watch it from the beginning to the end (to get more about the history and psychology), but my preference is a certain high point (beginning at 40:45) on the ruling class using the right-wing brainwash for their own benefits (and harming the entire rest of us) where I have set this video to start by default for my fellows who may be short at time like I am:

Why Are Right Wing Men So Sad? – Feasting on Misery | Salari (Jun 21, 2021)

4. Chris Hedges on “American Sadism”

Not one of his best speeches IMHO, not much new, but some pretty good segments in the Q&A section following the speech. I therefore set this video to start at the first keen point in that section (1:30:58). Another one to not miss comes at 1:48:53 (about politicians and people movements for making change possible plus also a remark about global imperial mistreatment)!

Chris Hedges “American Sadism” ~ mediasanctuary (Jul 7, 2021)

And in the comments, a Chris Hedges quote: “We now live in a nation where doctors destroy health, lawyers destroy justice, universities destroy knowledge, governments destroy freedom, the press destroys information, religion destroys morals, and our banks destroy the economy.”

5. People’s Party National Call

Not particularly good this time, I felt. But, as usual, Nick Brana made some good points. I have set the video to start where he begins with that (at 50:34).

Side note: *sigh*, if only they wouldn’t participate with a growing trend of utterly falsely written dates. (the weird American date structure of month followed by day followed by year needs slashes or dashes to distinguish it from other date structures, like European dates of DD.MM.YY – yes, periods! Of course, our oh so smart millennials have also started warping dates in Europe by switching away from the periods. I wonder if this generation has been drinking lead polluted water globally. *ponder*)

6. Democracy vs Capitalism

Structural Changes To Solve Inequality – Richard Wolff ~ Democracy At Work (Jul 5, 2021)

7. Richard Wolff on Housing and True Democracy

Housing has social issues, which is why Richard Wolff recommends government-run housing. He gives the example of Vienna, and I can confirm that social apartment buildings like in Vienna and Germany and surely other countries as well are indeed very very nice. Not only better in quality than the only few ones in the U.S., but even better than many privately built, owned, and run apartments. When truly people-supporting politicians – often called progressives or socialists, but remember that anybody can call themselves what they want and are not necessarily honestly what they claim to be – so, anyway, when truly people-supporting politicians take over government they often take much effort to come up with truly great solutions and designs. For densely populated cities, I can therefore agree with Wolff’s recommendation. OTOH, in rural areas, I rather recommend a kind of resurrection of the homestead act we once had: cheap (or even free), small private farm lands where you can build whatever homes and barns you want (especially well with mutual community support or even some governmental support, and especially modern cheap architecture and engineering designs).

Prof. Richard Wolff: Condo Collapse is a Tragic Warning For All of Us ~ The Zero Hour with RJ Eskow (Jul 10, 2021)

Side note: Unfortunately, of biology and medicine the smart and socially responsible economist Richard Wolff is not an expert. So, his recommendation of forced vaccination (if I understood him correctly) is not something I can agree with. Vaccines are fantastic when they have been developed well. No argument there. But, developing them well is not easy and traditionally requires many years or even decades including testing steps that were skipped over in the COVID-19 vaccines development. And different people have different health and immune system issues that make vaccines (just like medicines) not universally appropriate. There are always people for whom a commonly good drug or vaccine is more harmful than its benefits are — even disabling or lethal. So, no, forcing EVERYONE to take them is murderous. Exceptions must at least be made for potential victims. Quite frankly – and Richard Wolff is in agreement with me on that – vaccine developments should not be run by profit-greedy corporations but responsible government agencies with global responsibility and interaction, not private market competition. When developed well (working well and practically never harming and well known for possible side effects), then forcing masses of people to take them will hardly be necessary.

8. Sociopathic Ideology: Libertarianism

10. M4A / U.S. Healthcare

#M4A Comedy:

Already shared last year, but nice to watch again (even though John Oliver isn’t reliable, but in this case did well):

12. Rescue Attempts in our Current System:

Things we can currently try to do to save ourselves or our relatives in our terrible system. (not as good as fixing our system, but nevertheless good to know for one’s personal battles – although the sources must be considered selfishly motivated; so not necessarily perfect)

Medicare & Social Security Protecting Seniors (to some extent)

Not a single mention about protection from getting one’s home taken away if one managed to own one (to avoid getting kicked out by landlord). While Social Security payments seem safe from capture, homes also need to be looked at! (and too bad that Medicare does NOT completely eliminate healthcare bills… any idea to what extent it does?). The tip here focused on is to simply NOT pay one’s medical bills when one lives on Social Security.
