1. Economic Update: Extremes of Rich & Poor in U.S. Capitalism
Much of it presented by Richard Wolff before, but if you missed any of it, a nice summary of recent finds. First on how our government lacks behind in treating us properly, then comparison of our government plus economy system with those of Europe and China (incl. China’s way better corona crisis handling – without its details), then the insane narcissist money spending of the rich (not only the “space billionaires” Richard Branson and Jeff Bezos, but a lot more of selfish modern feudal lords who in one case reproduce the lords’ luxury cruises we saw in ancient movies… for the prices of family homes per ticket!), then the crime business of Uber (not protecting people followed by silencing the victims – thus profiting over and squeezing out more responsible traditional taxi companies), and finally the insane costs for child birth and healthcare in our country.

At the end a neat final conclusion, the last piece of it being: “… There is no excuse for this other than the BS pumped out by the medical industrial complex and repeated by the politicians in that complex’s pocket.” Well said! And, yes, that’s why we need to build up a responsible and democratic-from-the-bottom People’s Party standing upon grass root movements who boost such a party while also barring it from corruption by the rich (like it has gone nicely in Bolivia, a place to look at for good ideas!).
2. Corporatism = Fascism
Even the fascist leader Benito Mussolini admitted this. (and, yes, we essentially have been living in a soft-on-the-surface form of fascism still fake-wise looking like democracy since maybe the 70’s).
Basically:
private capitalism: pretending the government doesn’t primarily serve the money lords, so that people accept the setup
fascism: when the people become too frustrated by their exploitation/abuse/mistreatment, the government is pushed by the rich to enforce the inequality status quo – in more subtle ways when they still work (this nowadays then sometimes referred to as corporatism or neoliberalism) or, if necessary, with violence (that then recognized as fascism such as openly run by Mussolini in Italy, Hitler in Germany, or Franco in Spain – since then attempted with pretty good success so far to hide behind a curtain because humanity became so upset with this horror to war against this back then).

3. How Our Country Has been Broken
Good talk from Wolff’s Wife (Harriet Fraad). The helpful New Deal created by a former leftist culture of America rolled back by “anti-communism”. Our unions thereby also turned into nothing. Many of our jobs therefore outsourced into other countries (not happened in our fellow countries that did not lose their meaningful unions) plus the huge pay increases and stock gains for the CEOs and top managers and those corporate executives flipping in and out of our government, creating a dollar-based feudalism. Then the irony of our pandemic, the elimination of our homesteads and family farms, the fake leftism of D Party members (like Obama) and the consequential desperate shift towards fascism (like via Trump)… Pretty neat summary of things the honest economist Richard Wolff has been telling us. Cool if you want to hear a big summary or an insightful woman.

6. Socialism’s Past Failure
Wolff should also have explained how the often made accusations of bad economy were the results of massive attack by the capitalist countries (with embargoes, coups, and wars) and indeed not really all bad (both the USSR and China rising up economically much faster than our capitalist countries). However, he points at a real mistake made in famous past socialist countries: shoving democracy off the table. (something that modern socialists are keen not to do, rather the opposite: give us much more democracy than we currently have, namely add it to our workplaces)

7. The Dishonesty of the “Christian” Right
A conversation of Michael Moore with Chris Hedges gives insight in the so-called “Christian” right (in reality anti-Christian): The fight against abortion is simply a trick of the “christian” right (a religious form of fascism) to frame secular humanism as a death culture in order to fight it and thereby boost the religious cult that makes its leaders rich. These upside-down right-wing “Christians” also don’t know the Bible at all, only selected bits they can use to buttress their ideology (very few of those bits coming from the gospel, by the way, most coming from the “revelations” of Paul).
