David Graeber — from the Occupy Wall Street movement, reputed to have coined and promoted the statement “We are the 99%”, and shared here on Beanstock’s World a bunch of times with his astounding insights — has died 10 days ago at age 59. Yes, only 59(!) from “internal bleeding”. Lethal internal bleeding at such a young age and without a bullet or knife stab or such smells to me a lot like COVID-19, to be honest. Oddly, an issues not mentioned anywhere on the main media (not even on Wikipedia). Here, btw, is an article digging into the broad spectrum of coronavirus symptoms: The Great Invader: How COVID Attacks Every Organ

Richard Wolff gives lots of awesome speeches and explanations, but sometimes he also skips over vital points like probably all of us. Here is one such case:
Economic Update: Beyond Universal Basic Income Democracy At Work
Comment: Richard Wolff is probably right that reduced full-time workweek hours could be used less well by sociopathic demagogues than a UBI to divide people because the current weird ideology of our right to live deriving exclusively from us working paid jobs would continue as before. No shaking of the boat. There would be less risk of misleading people into thinking that they work shabby jobs and pay painful taxes only to keep lazy other people from having to work (while always overlooking that this is exactly what we are doing in the current system, although not really for under-supplied poor people who get very little help, but rather for all those super-rich people who own most of what can be owned and swim in a huge stream of money flow they do NOT earn by work). I. Satire: Corporate War on the Media
… as you can see, it’s not only happening in the U.S. (where it has already come close to the end, crushing truth-telling as good as completely):
(Note: If the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for thejuicemedia and the title: “Honest Government Ad | The ABC”)
Note: This reminds me of our own public broadcasting institutions which have been secretly taken over by corporate money due to insufficient public funding, so that even they largely march in step with the big corporate media channels, raining the establishment propaganda on us and avoiding to tell us the truth about the oligarchy’s evil doings. Defend Free Press and whistleblowers (like Manning and Assange) anyone? Anyone in the big media? What’s that I’m hearing? A bird whistling? Wind blowing tumbleweed?
…if it weren’t for the rich stealing from us. … if about 40 years ago they hadn’t begun revving up their plunder of working Americans — this made possible by them having bought the government and having used it to deregulate themselves (removing the referee from the economic game) and also by havingused it to shift the tax burden on working families.
I reported on these economic statistics in the past and calculated that the rich are raking in at least half of our earnings (that we work for and they don’t). In fact, my own calculation came to the average working class family making $45,500 more per year if we weren’t getting robbed by the rich.
TYT recently gave a report detailing some of these stats. The clip gets most informative towards the end (6:44 min in) — the preceding stuff is less clear:
At the end of this short piece, I share a video that’ been gathering dust in my archives.
It may be rather long and rambling, but the great point Jamarl’s speech ultimately comes down to is: What kind of life do we want to live? He mentions nobody wanting to be a cog in a wheel which is what people end up being in our current human world. So, ask yourself what kind of life do you want to live?
