How Independent Candidate Ventura Became Governor Swiping the Rep & Dem Gangs Away ***
This weekend collection of wakeful videos has two main sections: (A) much on this week’s candidate issues (esp. real & false progressives) and (B) much on the forces that create right-wingers/neo-nazis and neoliberals/meritocracy-believers & hillbots — and if or how to deal with them. The first group is mostly created from people crushed onto the floor, the second mostly from upper middle-classers who won life’s lottery at least to some extent and are either contemptuous or dismissive and ignorant of those who didn’t. Then these two camps go at each other’s throats without realizing that they are being manipulated from the top to defend the status quo that causes all this division and endless suffering.
So much stuff, I had to move some to a ‘part B’ follow-up.
Several funny but enlightening videos mixed with vital news, rare revelations, and deep insights.
Not to miss: a great conversation of Richard Wolff with Chris Hedges and a heart-wrenching speech on the Assange Case. Oh, and so much more.

Another weekend compilation of special videos and commentary for political and economic awakening that popped up this week. Definitely no focus on party or identity politics. Rather insights in the rigged system we struggle in and why or how we must stand up against it pushing for a good one instead. Stars: Bernie, AOC, Chris Hedges, Richard Wolff, Graham Elwood, Kim Iversen, Jimmy Dore, Lee Camp, Naomi Karavani, Thom Hartmann, Stef Zamorano, Greg Palast, Jesse Ventura, Howie Hawkins, and more.

As the Tax Day is about to hit us over the head or under the belt line again, it makes sense to give a thought or two about how proper or improper our tax system is.
Clearly, lots of people across the political spectrum hate taxes, or at least their own taxes, or would like others to be taxed more, or – in some cases – gladly pay their taxes as a contribution to the society that grants them a civilized life. (I once belonged to the latter group.)
But how many of us have actually thought this through? What our taxes are for and what they could be used for instead?
Since many of us are busy meeting the deadline, I want to keep this article as short as possible, only throwing out a funny historic remembrance and some food-for-thought seeds for our future. Continue reading “Proper Tax vs. Iɯdɹodǝɹ ┴ɐx”→

Here is an old, yet outstanding, speech by Chris Hedges. It’s from April 3, 2013. If you are certain to have heard most of this before and are short on time, you may fast forward to 1:05:32 where his wrap-up starts and hits hard: https://youtu.be/KJ9nvAX-S1g?t=3932 Otherwise, here the clip starts from the beginning:
(Note: If the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “Chris Hedges – America from the Outside – How the World sees US – 2013”)
Essentially, Americans are split into two groups: the privileged and the underprivileged. The privileged range from the super-rich god kings, through the rich, the upper middle class, and maybe still the middle-middle class (depending on where you draw the line). The underprivileged include the lower middle class and the rarely ever mentioned underclass. Continue reading “Our Two Class Society”→
This weekend’s video compilation deals with our growing poverty, a historic review of how we have been sliding down the drain in a sequence of steps, a system analysis with an eye on mentality and egotistical partisanship (such as of those who have a pretty good life and turn a blind eye to their victimized fellow Americans), systemic corruption, gun violence, and getting to know Lee Camp and Richard Wolff a little better (for example, their beginnings). Other figures of note: Bill Moyers, Robert Reich, Paul Jay, Jamarl Thomas, and Lauren Steiner…
Growing Poverty
System Analysis
Corruption
Economy
Gun Violence
So, who is Lee?
I hope you enjoy another informative and interesting video weekend.
I. Growing Poverty
Humanitarian Crisis In America! That’s why we need a universal basic income (and federal job programs for additional improvements) as a guaranteed insurance of income not only for the rich, as it is currently done, but for everybody — a failsafe against conditions like this:
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “Humanitarian Crisis In Hollywood “)
II. System Analysis
America’s long slide down the drain and today’s glimpse of hope:
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “Robert Reich – The Common Good”)
America’s Class Society (speech video) . Paul Jay gives a good account how in our system different classes of our inequality pyramid are played against each other and dominated by the top class (this makes a good follow-up to Wednesday’s article which shone a light on the very top whereas Paul Jay here reminds us of their henchmen in the upper middle part of our wealth and income pyramid):
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “Paul Jay: Threats Facing Humanity, Basic Income & Importance of Historical Context “)
III. Corruption
Boundless and institutionalized corruption from the top is where all the suffering comes from:
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “13 Ways We Are The Most Corrupt Nation”)
More on the criminal collusion between bought government and the billionaires’ corporations:
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “Were You Drinking Micro-Plastics From Your Water? | America’s Lawyer on RT America | “)
IV. Economy
A look five years back (the weakness of Dodd-Frank and regulations within our fundamentally corrupt system, Richard Wolff and his message becoming known, the globalist inequality-economy, capitalism vs democracy, American team spirit, Wolff encouraging our college students to organize…):
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “What Has Capitalism Done for Us Lately?”)
Note: The preceding Wolff interview was shared here previously.
V. Gun Violence
An attempt to approach the issue of mass shootings and gun violence with a calm head:
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “AntiGun Protesters March Totally Miss Point. Dems & Reps Positions Are Also Absurd. Here’s TRUTH!”)
Gist: The big question in gun violence is why, and this isn’t really being addressed by background checks. Poverty and our systemic injustice are the main causes of gun violence in America and should be cured. Lines are – and obviously must be – drawn as to what kinds of weapons are allowed in private hands (assault rifles, nuclear bombs…); so that at least that part of the current public discussion makes sense…
More on gun violence (and the immoral values of our system) :
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “[104] The Gun Debate Not Allowed On Corporate Media”)
VI. So, who is Lee?
Lee Camp being interviewed in part about himself:

~
Ending Note: It takes me at least 100 hours a month to research and write for this site and work on my book. Please widely share links to these articles or help in other ways, so this work is not for naught. Donations are really great, too! Thanks. Only together can we change this messed-up world. 🙂
This weekend’s video collection deals with a broad mix of issues illustrating a need for a systemic overhaul:
No More Middle Class or Rule of Law
Instead: Neoslavery, State Oppression, and MSM BS
The Pathology of the Rich
Capitalism vs Democracy… and a new Vision
I am amazed by this guy’s patience and tolerance, and yet I agree with his final critique: too many of us are indeed accomplices of our sickeningly inhumane society:
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “From Middle Class to No Class in America Documentary”)
Get more familiar with our new slave plantations (Jimmy Dore):
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “LA Sheriff Wants “Good Ones” For Prison Labor”)
Destroy the World by money-making. Save it by changing your priorities (Jimmy Dore):
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “Stunning Photos Of Ocean Pollution & New Cleanup Solution”)
We really need more anti-establishment media (Lee Camp shining a light on NPR):
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “What You Aren’t Being Told About NPR”)
Ancient Greece invented state democracy. Hear a modern Greek explain democracy’s (and our economy’s) decline. He also proposes a fair economic system (which won’t devour democracy):
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “Capitalism will eat democracy – unless we speak up | Yanis Varoufakis”)
The culture of our lords:
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “The Pathology of the Rich – Chris Hedges on Reality Asserts Itself (1/2)”)
And please abandon the neoliberal myth that if you study and work hard enough you will be well off in life and – by implication – those who are not well off didn’t study and work hard enough. This argument totally ignores that our economy is structured like a pyramid scheme with wealth at the top, poverty at the bottom, a range in between, and wealth being extracted upward. In such a society, your financial state depends on where you are placed in the pyramid, and if you manage to climb up, you hold someone else down. Only by restructuring our society towards prosperity for all can we really nip the anguish from poverty and artificial scarcity in the butt. You can listen to the rest of the interview here.
Bipartisan consensus for lawlessness and “law” wielded as a weapon by the power elite:
