Summary: Mostly foreign countries reports (France, Peru, Ukraine) this week (many of them short). But also corruption vs proper social mindset videos based on the U.S.
Request: Please share with others. I, for example, can no longer share on Facebook, having been locked out of my account.
Summary: Major issues this time are our system’s money policy spinning out of control; plus the COVID vaccination, treatment, and immunity updates. Also deep thought writing on our crumbling/corrupt economy.
Summary: Many of this week’s videos struck me as meager. The ones I am sharing I have therefore split in three groups – top (4), medium (3), and OK (7).
Israel: One of the reasons for poor videos this week may be the spike of Israel war crimes addressed by everyone in mass and alternative media. I prefer not to waste time on those events because the fact that Israel is a Neo-Nazi Regime created by a tiny percentage of Jewish Holocaust survivors to conquer foreign land and treat their closest relatives on Earth (Palestinians, the other branch of descendants of their mid-eastern ancestors (this is merely my personal guess, I admit)) the same way thievish and murderous Nazi fascists had treated them (or some far away close or remote relatives). There is nothing new to this and the disgusting mistreatment of Palestinians (slaying, disenfranchising, and throwing them out from their own land) by Israel, nor the ignoring of these crimes by all other countries’ governments. *sigh* – Not new enough for me to waste time on, unless a decent solution were on the horizon. Mostly because human suffering has become rampant globally by now, and we must all learn to clean our own doorstep (the corrupt politics and economy of our own countries) to save ourselves and thereby finally gain the strength to save others. Being distracted with a focus on a small group of victims when most of us are now in big trouble, is – to me – just another distraction useful for our sociopathic oligarchic lords who don’t want our sick global system (and national sections of it) to be fixed. And let’s not overlook the much more huge genocides committed by the U.S. military complex, either. It’s possible that I missed an important new point, but the reason I didn’t look into these news (having very limited time struggling to survive myself) is hopefully understandable. I did eventually glance into the Israel war crimes videos and came across two quite sharable ones (shared below). — If you want to look deeper into how to oppose Zionism effectively, read this article by John Spritzler: LISTEN ANTI-ZIONIST!

Here is a recording and written summary of a podcast interview on MMT, budget deficit myths, and a number of economic topics with economist Stephanie Kelton who used to be a chief economist on the US Senate Budget Committee and was an economic adviser to the Bernie 2016 presidential campaign:
First, the iTunes link for those who can use podcast technology (say during a long commute). It’s 1:52 hours long!
It’s also available as a Youtube audio:

Summary #1 (with a little added spice from me, of course): Â
This weekend’s mix of enlightening videos, starring Jimmy Dore, Chris Hedges, and David Graeber, focuses primarily on two topics: government (despotism vs democracy) and the economy:
Note: Somehow the announcement of this posting failed to go out yesterday. I have therefore just added one very entertaining video at the end here instead of making a new post out of it. It’s big fun! Skip to it if you watched the others yesterday.
I. “Democratic” Party Reform not Working (Jimmy Dore):
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “Tulsi Gabbard Rips The DNC – Demands Change”)
Maybe Tulsi should dress in her uniform when she gives speeches. (and also stop being so polite)
II. The hill of the shining beacon has caved in (Jimmy Dore):

III. The Silencing of Truth, Justice, and The People (Chris Hedges):
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “On Contact: The Silencing of the Left with Robert Scheer”)
The thing to realize for a lot of folks who have been raised to hate the “left” and self-identify as the “right” is that when you are against billionaire money in politics and for the needs and wishes of the people, you are actually “left” by the standard definition. The establishment has played a trick on you reversing the definitions of political labels, turning them on their heads, so that we, the people, fight each other over self identification, hating the other group for being our opposite when, for the most part, they are actually the same. So, if we can’t agree on the meanings of these labels, let’s drop them – they are only words, after all – and unite around the actual issues on which most of us agree, like a fair economy and functioning democracy where we all can have a good living and a voice in our public affairs.
Quote: “Everybody out there has a story of abuse.” So… maybe we should all become more willing to accept the grievances of others and commit to help one another?
IV. Ideal vs real vs underestimated economic inequality (in case I haven’t shared this before):

V. Money is not our limit (David Graeber):

VI. When the rich make the tax rules to their benefit, it creates gross inequality:

Jimmy Dore at his finest as a comedian, giving us an ironic parody of disgusting MSM behavior:

No need, this weekend, to slump and sink into the corporate media’s dementing morass. Here are six enlightening videos about our man-made nightmare world and ways to fix it. And to finish on a high note, number seven is a recording of some simple, harmless fun for a change. I hope you won’t mind. It reminds me of younger, more innocent times in my life, or the kind of life we could live if we didn’t have to struggle for survival so much in a world where natural scarcity has been overcome and replaced with man-made poverty, exclusion, and despair.
I. A Living Minimum Wage
Quite possible. Simply a policy choice:
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “Australian McDonalds Workers Paid Like No Worker In America Ever Has”)
This video nicely echoes things I keep saying: Low-pay economic stress drives a lot of negative behavior. There are a lot of selfish reasons to want your fellow Americans to do well. You can do things for other people out of self interest.
Quote: “So many Americans have been bamboozled by the billionaires.”
II. Patronage instead of Democracy
The big business of raking in and skimming off political donations:

III. Kick the Liars
An Example of Not Letting Lying Excuses Pass:
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “Campaign to Recall Californian Democrat that Blocked Single-Payer Underway”)
Let’s hope the recall works, and every other recall and ousting we must relentlessly attempt until we whittle the corrupt political establishment down.
IV. The GOP’s Christian Right
Ever wondered about the Christian Right which played such a big role in the GOP even as the GOP was hurting American workers, steamrollering over our Constitution, spreading war in the Middle East, abducting and torturing people, trying to dismantle Social Security and so on? Certain money barons in the GOP certainly partnered up with “Christian” leaders and took advantage of a unifying force which would let them betray the people to the corporations and billionaire class with impunity while their party base and voters were distracted over ancient Biblical bullying mandates and their modern resurrection, just like neoliberals in the “Democratic” Party were distracting us with minority protection issues (which, while valid, still distract us from the higher priorities — and which were going hand-in-hand with the GOP’s Christian Right trickery, by the way, like both parties were harmoniously working together for our robber billionaires — gee, were they?)? Well here is an interesting video talk about the other end of the equation:

V. Grass Roots VS King Money
Ways for regular folks to deflate the iron rule of Money:

VII. Some Harmless Fun to Finish With
Since I serve up so much depressing or exhausting news, how about a little, harmless snippet of fun to finish with for a change (and show us what a happy future world could look like):

If, like me, you were impressed by the quotes in the revealing video Money as Debt which I showcased in part one of The Dark Side of Money – and you would like them in writing for future reference – here are the most powerful ones I wrote down:
Our national circulating medium is now at the mercy of loan transactions of banks, which lend, not money, but promises to supply money they do not possess. ~ Irving Fisher, economist & author
Anyone who believes exponential growth can go on forever in a finite world is either a madman or an economist. ~ Kenneth Boulding, economist
