Capitalism vs. Socialism among the Founding Fathers (a good one for the coming 4th of July) ***
Independence Day is a special holiday held high and celebrated in different corners of society. For some it is just a brief relief from a never-ending money-earning drudgery. For others it is the holiday of their nationalist notions easily linked to fascist white supremacist ideas stuck into their heads from the top by the rich ruling class and their demagogic minions in politics and the mass media to divert (with xenophobia and hate speeches) their justified anger away from the true culprits and causes of their mutilated lives, thus turning them into a duped army of violent right-wingers and idiot voters. For others, like myself, it is an annual reminder of the great ideals of some of our heroic founding fathers whose liberating ideas spread around the world causing awe and love and hope, and even change — change from monarchies and dictatorships to democracies or even attempts at socialist economies (a natural consequence of the life, liberty, and happiness for all concept). Overlook the disheveled hair, skip over the setup shenanigans of the first 2:34 minutes, and be ready peer into corners you may have never looked at before.
I mean it! Skip the first 2:34 minutes that are probably the result of faulty technology called live streaming. If you don’t know Debbie Lusignan (who no longer cares to call herself the Sane Progressive because labels like ‘progressive’ have been abused, turned upside down, and co-opted by the establishment) you might get a wrong impression and stop watching. Take my word for it, when you have looked into the abyss as long and far as she, it is hard to appear sane at times. But listen to what she has to say, to the facts and their processing, and you will be guaranteed to learn something and advance your own points of view, or even your perception, and maybe enable your own inner growth on which the growing up of humanity co-depends.

Probably all the folks who read my writings have had many, most, or all of their lives’ dreams crushed to the point that being born a human in this world is a curse.
My own dreams and goals were crushed again and again, forcing me countless times to restart my “life” from scratch and lower my goals to where I am now reduced to a struggle for mere short-term survival, the fight for long-term survival having been lost forever, making me wish – if I am to be honest – that I had never been born. (On the side of my struggle for survival, I try to fight this corrupt system through my writing while I still can.)
This depressing hardship is the life not just endured by me but, I suspect, the majority of human beings born in our times… at least once they reach a certain age. How can we be proud of such a failed civilization or not wish to improve it?
I think that most people don’t have it in their nature to rock the boat. They just want to pursue their goals, no matter how sensible or senseless they are; and they want to be left in peace. Therefore it is easy for confidence tricksters to scam them and set up a system that works as a continuous and self-perpetuating scam known as our economic and political system. Yesterday, I came across an interesting article which attempts to explain why many Republican voters seem to consistently vote against their own interests, thereby supporting a political party which works exclusively for the rich and throws everybody else under the bus, including these voters. For an example the article points at Trump’s war on our healthcare coupled with continuing loyalty to him.
