Paradise Papers or Hell Papers? — Two Sets of Rules for Rich and Poor

wealth

So, after the Panama Papers, the latest leak, called Paradise Papers, once again reveal how the rich “legally” (but not legitimately!) avoid paying their taxes and make play with their money in even illegal ways, well hidden behind aiding and abetting global institutions. Meanwhile, working Americans are getting squeezed out of their last drop of blood and persecuted like criminals when they have any foreign income, for instance when our jobless economy drives them out of the country or they are married to a foreign spouse.

I. Intro

First, in case you haven’t heard about the recently published Paradise Papers, here is a TV report (sadly with a dubious focus on laying bare even the flimsiest Russian connections to the Trump cabinet, as if we really needed those to realize that practically all current big-time politicians and their Big Money associates are utterly corrupt):

Captain Kirk meets Donna Brazile (and other fine videos)

I just gotta share this. Without further ado:

(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “Captain Kirk meets Donna Brazile”)

.

If you haven’t noticed, what’s been happening is damage control upon damage control (FBI-blaming, “Bernie Bro” gaslighting, Russia hack mania, denying the election fraud in the 2016 primaries, finally admitting a little bit of it but painting the DNC as Obama’s and Hillary’s victim, and so on):

(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “Donna Brazile Changes Her Story 100% – What Happened?”)

.

Passing the buck. Blaming everything on an ex, so the current and future crooks in politics can continue unimpeded. Journalists making it all about isolated figureheads instead of how we, the people, are robbed of our voice in our affairs:

(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: »”Journalists” Act Unsurprised At Admission The DNC Rigged Election Against Bernie Sanders«)

.

In the end, it’s all the same old “good cop/bad cop” routine played on us by the political crooks in both political gangs (the Republican and “Democratic” Party) who all work for the billionaire bandits while pretending to work for the people.

It’s high time for a new party:

Jackpot! How to Buy the “Democratic” Party for $20 Million or Less – And Rinse for a Repeat

No honor among thieves. Not even when they blow a whistle on their fellow thieves can you trust their words or intentions. That’s the conclusion we can draw from the latest political bombshell: Donna Brazile’s recent confession of the stolen 2016 primaries that you may have heard things about.

At first I was surprised, then I started thinking; and I suggest you do the same. I see far too many knee-jerk reactions and snap judgments out there related to this piece of news, and those are exactly what makes us subject to manipulation.

I highly recommend you read Donna Brazile’s Politico article yourself. In it the former interim DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile explains the DNC’s collusion with Hillary Clinton’s 2015-2016 campaign for nomination, a campaign that was nothing more than a dog-and-pony show because Hillary was controlling the “Democratic” Party the entire time. How? With money, honey! It’s always the money!

The Moneycrats’ Myth of Self-Reliance

Our lords have spread among us a myth of self-reliance. Americans are supposed to be self-reliant as part of their culture. So self-reliant they never ask for help. So self-reliant we never denounce grand theft by the 1%. When we have been mugged, we are supposed to stand up on our broken legs, dust ourselves off, and say: “It’s all right. I am self-reliant. I need nothing from anybody, not even my own things back that were just stolen from me (like one’s home, one’s job, one’s career opportunity, one’s pension funds, one’s health insurance, one’s social security…). This creed, promulgated by the 1%, is – of course – easily believed by the 1% themselves. It’s much more agreeable to see oneself as a strong, self-reliant success than a thug.  Continue reading

Video Weekend 10-21-2017 (6 Videos)

This week’s series about our economic rigging and its collusion with politics comes to an end in the first segment of today’s Part A of this Video Weekend. The second segment has some mixed videos on recent events, and the third segment ends with a special rant and interview. Tomorrow, in Part B as a proper response to so much wrong and misery presented all week, I plan to share an analysis of the deepest roots of our trouble and a light at the end of the tunnel, a glimpse at a chance for our nation and humanity to crawl out of its trap, oddly enough spearheaded by human cousins. Well, let’s get started:

Segment 1: The Finale of the Rigged-Economy-Week

I. The Face of our Engineered Poverty: The End of the Rope

I have quite a bit in common with… Without further ado:

(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “The Line: Poverty in America – Officially Licensed Version”)

Have you shed any tears watching? I hope you have. It’s proof of your humanity — and/or indication that you have experienced some of this yourself and are therefore recruitable for change.

II. The Invisible Victims

One way our rigged system has survived and done so well is by our habit of turning a blind eye to those who suffer the most. The ill fate of the poor is mostly known only to them. Few documentaries exist, and filling the gap in everybody else’s knowledge won’t happen in a single day. Still, for a start, here is a second telling documentary.

One aspect of poverty is not being able to afford proper housing, and – as usual – we not only have a situation of an entire section of the public being of low means (and being blamed for it on top of that), but of being not helped, only allegedly helped, discriminated against, price-gouged, cheated, and held in poverty and obscurity, with the rest of us lookin elsewhere. What a surprise we have coming when we find ourselves pushed out of the shrinking middle class and suddenly find ourselves in this dark underworld we never bothered to acknowledge or take a look at because looking below us might make us feel guilty and scared.

ZIP Code is Destiny – Housing is disappearing for Americans:

(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “The American dream is turned into poverty. Documentary 2017”)

III. Gods or Demons?

To top it off and complete the picture, an inside view of the 1% (not so much of their dark deeds which have already been exposed, but their lives and attitudes):

(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “The One Percent”)

I wonder if a rare rich boy like this will ever move past making an Emmy-nominated confession and actually do something about the evil doings of his inherited business empire, or – better yet – not only do that but also work on changing the hellish course of our world? As it happens, Johnson & Johnson is still listed among the corporations that employ prison labor! Prison labor is a modern day form of slavery in the United States (and elsewhere, especially Asia). Inmates, often imprisoned without trial and on drummed-up or rather meaningless charges, work for $1.15 or less for a full day of work! This is not only an inhuman practice in itself but also takes away properly paid job opportunities from the labor makrket outside these slave-prisons.

.

Segment 2: The Political Establishment & State Machinery Continue their Evil Romp Unabated

So as not to fall completely behind on current events, here are some recent current event videos not to be missed:

IV. Meet our upside-down justice system:

Remember our Monday video telling of how the state machinery of pre-Nazi Germany helped bring the Nazis to power by actively opposing the working people’s unions, parties, and activists while at the same time promoting and shielding from prosecution and punishment many murderous fascists? We just had an eerily similar case in the U.S. — an outrageous, sad, and horrible mockery of justice and the law by none other than a judge and our police:

V. The “Democratic” Party Unvervingly Committed to Evil Corporatism

(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “Corporate Democrats Purge Bernie Backers From DNC”)

Segment 3: Patriotism, Nationalis, War Machine, and POTUS

VI. To finish, a bit of fun with Jesse Ventura:

Our Rapacious Inequality-Economy

In this speech, the second installment in this week’s economic revelations series, economist Richard Wolff paints a lively picture of today’s systematic craziness and intentional inequality. If you are looking for examples of inequality and the resulting social disintegration, of our ailing economy and its faked recovery, of predatory capitalism or our current stock market bubble and stocks manipulation, this presentation has plenty.

The recorded video starts out with a lot of announcements which you can skip by starting 10:03 minutes into the clip (and if you don’t care to hear Wolff’s Trump-related preliminary comments, you can skip to 15:50 where the systemic analysis starts):

Violence, Mass Shootings, Las Vegas Massacre, and Class War PTSD

(a brief hiatus from this week’s lecture series)

When we were all shocked by the reports on the Las Vegas Massacre I not only pointed out that some of the things reported were just plain weird and thus reminiscent of past false flag operations and cove-ups (and I suggested we watch how the news may get exploited), but I stressed that we should focus on the horrible socio-economic conditions which underlie much of our violence and need fixing. Famous investigative reporter Greg Palast turns out to have gone to school with the shooter and agrees with my notion on Class War PTSD: I went to school with the Vegas shooter (Greg Palast)

Despite not wishing to deal any more with the sad subject, I did add some updates to my original article on the event, by the way. Find them at the bottom: Oddities of the Las Vegas Massacre

Medicare Soon Raided by the Super-Rich – What’s Up? – Causes & Solutions

While the nation’s attention was on the Las Vegas Massacre, and while Bernie Sander’s Medicare for All plan is up for votes and gaining ground in the American public, the evil demons in politics snuck another backstab of the American People through the House of Representatives: the federal 2018 budget.

Have you ever wondered how the super-rich got so rich? There is a famous quote by the classical, French writer Balzac, author of The Human Comedy: “Behind every great fortune lies a great crime.”  Continue reading

What is Monetary Oppression?

money-rules

In the old days, the 1% kept the rest of their fellow human beings in chains and unarmed. They had them handled by armed henchmen that were in their pay. In the modern age, the 1% instead control us by regulating the money flow and by manipulating our perception and thinking — the former through employment and housing conditions, loan interests, insurance premiums, fees, and taxes; the latter via the actions of think tank and mass media operatives, as well as politicians: the most visible modern types of their henchmen. Only when they squeeze us too much, so that we start rebelling, do their security forces and militarized police crawl out from under their rocks and the bought politicians get busy criminalizing dissent. Oppression then becomes obvious, something the modern oppressors like to avoid.  Continue reading
