In this piece a former police officer describes the evil police culture that makes police officers behave evilly; having been psychologically convinced that the entire rest of mankind are their immoral, trashy, murderous enemies best to be killed and asked questions later; and he argues for police abolition. Note: I grew up during the tail end of the ‘golden age’ expecting a just and fair life. All I have had is a shitty life. Similarly to this man, I have wished all the time I had never been born. That’s why on my way out of it, I fight for better conditions for those coming after me.  

Making a Chilling Example of a Truth Teller

Great interview concerning the Julian Assange case. I fully agree that this case is an effort to make a chilling example of a truth-telling journalist so that no-one ever again dare to spread truth about government malfeasance to the people for fear of being arrested and expedited into the hands of cruel despotic government officials. And we all must stand up against this to fight for our own freedom and a chance to hold our governments accountable.

I must say, Roger Waters really impressed me deeply in this interview. It speaks for itself and covers the main points of importance in this case, including the perverse arguments made by evildoers and their gullible puppets in favor of this persecution. A must-hear interview, especially since even some good-hearted people (like for instance presidential candidate Marianne Williamson as you could see in yesterday’s Video Weekend) are still trapped in the false narratives we have been fed on the mass media:

The overarching theme of Wikileak’s Julian Assange, his history, accomplishments, past celebrity status, recent arrest and current instrumentalization in our oligarchy’s war on free speech and democracy, the forces and interests behind his arrest, and the far reaching consequences of it all, even criminalizing freedom of the press and turning truth-telling into a crime. The horrors likely facing him. Also the reasons why powerful politicians and journalists don’t stand up for him and the basic concepts of free press and democracy… There is a lot to be learned this weekend in and around the news and conversations held along this theme. QuickyPiece: Kings Don’t Like to be Taxed

Kings don’t like to be taxed. So, the newly formed kings (robber barons, billionaires) decided to declare all those with a leg up on the economic ladder to also be kings of sorts. Lesser kings, but still kings. Kings to hate taxes. Well-off winners of the market society’s lottery who hated the idea of paying for welfare given to the needy blamed as lazy. Those royally deluded dupes in the GOP, and later also the “Democratic” Party, promptly worked to lower and abolish taxes for the new kings, hoping to lower them for themselves as well, while getting secretly screwed with increased housing costs, insurance fees, road tolls, FICA taxes, college fees, and so forth.
