Chris Hedges: “People are fed the idea that if they don’t have [wealth] they failed. There is no examination of a system that was so gamed against them from the beginning that they never had a chance.”
An uplifting start into a new week. Find out why we need and can have a powerful new political party to kick the butt of the corrupted old major parties:
The major parties are fiercely immune to change from within and characterized by anti-democratic internal command structure beholden to Big Money. Challenging newbies are caught in a web of wheeling and dealing.
It will take the weapon of a new party ready to replace a corrupt old party to overcome the establishment.
Getting a new party on the ballot in all 50 states is not nearly as hard as we keep getting told. Much easier than taking over a huge money-governed party from within.
America is more ready than ever for a new party. Almost two out of three Americans are calling for a major new party now.
Listen to what Nick Braña, National Political Outreach Coordinator on Bernie Sanders’ presidential 2016 campaign and one of the founders of Our Revolution, has to reveal about the establishment’s walls and how to break them down:

What do you think about it? I think: let’s make it happen. And to do this, work on bringing change-desiring people and existing third parties and challenger candidates together, supporting each other, working out a big tent platform of changes we all want. Such a coalition may by itself make change possible and – if things come to a head – give birth to a grand new party, a People’s Party.
P.S.: A common question: Why not simply support the Green Party which advocates many or all of the broadly desired changes? Answer: people wanting change are more likely to try a new party than one that has been around but small. It’s the psychology of confidence. Also, the Green Party has suffered a lot of smears and misrepresentations that circulate through people’s heads. Other than that, the Green Party is awesome and well worth voting for at every chance. It would (or will) make a great member in a People’s Coalition.

Below, I have written some powerful words, or so I hope. But lets first start with an analysis of recent “Democratic” upheavals by Jimmy Dore’s team to give us some perspective and a starting point for putting our heads together:
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for Jimmy Dore and the title: “Ocasio-Cortez & Progressives Win – Is it Enough?”)
So, is the people’s take-over of the “Democratic” Party working? Sadly, the answer is clearly no. Too many attempts of voting in people’s candidates have failed, succeeding only with a handful who don’t carry enough weight to change the party from within. And once they are in, they face obstacles like superdelegates, party bosses, undemocratic structures and top-down rule, gerrymandering and internal riggings, huge Big Money influence, mobbing and a gang mentality, and so forth. They get turned ineffective by layer upon layer of barriers that have been erected to neutralize the will of the people and even the party base. The probably biggest reason why we have no democracy in America, but merely the undermined and bought-up trappings thereof, is that most of us are complete amateurs in the area of the people’s rule and therefore do everything wrong. Read on!
Back when our founders created a democracy in our freshly born nation, they also declared that our country would need an informed citizenry if it were to keep its democracy.
An educated citizenry is a vital requisite for our survival as a free people. ~ Thomas Jefferson
Here is the inspiring recording of activity at the local level. If you think you are the only one sick of Big Money in politics so greedily taken by the treacherous major parties think again. If you think you are the only one who wants to kick these corrupt political “parties” (I rather think of them as political gangs, a political form of organized crime), then think again. If you think nobody will move to replace this corruption with a true people’s party or coalition of people’s parties representing you and me, watch this video where a local chapter is forming:
(Note: if the video linked above gets deleted, you may search the Internet for the title: “Chicago Movement For a People’s Party Chapter Launch”)
Note: We all need to undergo a transformation at some point in our lives to awaken to the crooked rigging of our system, pull off the wool from our eyes, and get ready to fight for what’s right.
Thought: So, maybe, thanks to Noam Chomsky speaking his mind, we will some day have Nick Brana as president, and good life will return to the United States. And this time for all!
We want change. We badly need change. Tea Partiers tried to make change happen from within the Republican Party, and right now people try to make it happen from within the “Democratic” Party and consider other approaches (like forming a new party or building up existing third parties) as a competition that weakens their own inside strategy.
What this stance overlooks is that, as long as the Democratic Party can rest assured that progressive/working class/leftist/Black/etc. voters have nowhere else to go, its party bosses will continue as before, unimpressed by any inside takeover attempts which they can squelch as long as they can count on sufficient votes. In the end, they don’t even need to win elections, since their deep pocket Big Money donors will gladly continue to dowse them with money for enabling their Republican buddies.
